Akuaba Records all started in Oxford with the release of the "Best of Oxford Album - Distortion". This album featured Akuaba_Records favorite 13 bands from Oxford, including Coma KAi, JOR, Mook, OutOfInTO, Smilex, The Young Knives and many more. This album has gone on to sell more than 1,000 copies.

Akuaba Records also organise live events around the UK and Ireland. Now Akuba records is in the process of moving to Bristol
